I work with people who long to feel more at home with themselves and in their lives. My clients are curious, self-reflective and have experienced things that leave them feeling hurt, fearful and alone. During sessions we may encounter powerful gates of self-discovery like grief, anger, and shame. Together we get to know these parts of you, approach them with kindness, release painful stories and make meaning. Clients leave sessions feeling closer to themselves, able to move through their lives with clarity and presence. My approach weaves multiple therapeutic approaches within and beyond traditional psychotherapy. I’m trained in IFS and EMDR, and incorporate mindfulness and somatic practices into sessions. I offer reiki, a form of energy healing, to support regulation and rest. I'm also a student of tarot and astrology, and can include these perspectives in the work. I welcome all parts of you to this work. To learn more about me and to see if we are a good match for doing this work together, email me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call.

Hello! I am currently accepting new patients. All visits are through telemedicine, so I can see anyone in the state of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Colorado. My love for what I do in psychiatry, comes from the joy I get in helping others improve their lives. Most of my patients do not know which direction to go when then come to me, and that is ok. Some people come to me looking for second or third opinions about diagnosis or medications, some people are referred by a therapist to start medication. We can openly discuss decisions and options. This is a judgement free zone. There is no way you can TMI me! My primary role in our sessions is diagnosis, evaluation and medication management. The role I have in therapy is very small. Most clients are already in therapy or have been referred by therapists to me. All sessions are conducted by tele-medicine. **Offering flexible hours, evening appointments available, also some weekends. **
College can be an overwhelming time, and together we can address issues that are affecting your academics, social life, and personal experiences. Some issues include persistent anxiety or panic attacks, depression affecting motivation, and mood instability. I provide a safe, affirming space, coping strategies for stress, and support in embracing identity. We can address goals of greater emotional stability, self-acceptance, building resilience and connections, and balancing academic work with personal challenges.

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I integrate a medical-model approach with supportive therapy to provide compassionate, comprehensive care. Mutual respect and trust are the foundation of my practice, and I am committed to creating a relaxed, non-judgmental space where honesty, transparency, and collaboration empower you to take an active role in your treatment. I treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, addiction, OCD, complex grief, and chronic illnesses. Welcome! I’m Lauren Cohen, a licensed independent clinical social worker, and I’m so glad you’re here. A bit about me: I’m a Los Angeles native, and a White, Jewish, cis-gendered (she/her) clinician. I am open about these parts of my identity when we work together - and strive to create a space where all of your parts always feel seen and welcome. I’ve always been fascinated by emotions, relationships, and behavior. My love for learning about different people has taken me to over 25 countries. Traveling has given me a profound understanding of human nature, “sameness”, and also the vast complexities of different cultures. Outside of sessions, I love creating pottery, being in nature, a good sunset swim, & trying new foods with my family and friends. I approach therapy with a dynamic and evolving perspective, tailoring my methods to meet your unique needs. Psychodynamic theory, Attachment theory, and Mindfulness are foundational to my work, and I am also a Level 1 trained therapist in Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS allows us to explore the different “parts” of your identity, by uncovering truths and developing your own inner healer. I believe healing comes from building a trusting relationship between mind and body, and creating space for your authentic self to emerge. Meditation and breathwork are often utilized to connect you with your mind’s eye and core self. My approach to therapy is warm, kind and playful. I have a deeply non-judgmental attitude, providing a space where you can feel safe and supported as we navigate the complexities of your inner world. I also embrace the deeper, darker aspects of self, recognizing that these parts of your experience can hold wisdom and strength - the shadow is always welcome in our work.
I have an extensive clinical psychology background and I have treated individuals of all ages for a variety of problems. For the past 20 years my practice has also included working with students from many colleges in the area, including Berklee , Emerson, Northeastern, Harvard, MIT, and a number of other schools. In addition to the problems which students frequently bring to a therapist's office, such as depression, anxiety, issues around self esteem, gender identity, school performance, worries about the future, and relationship problems, the Covid pandemic and the need for remote learning and social distancing has exacerbated many of these already difficult issues. I can usually schedule a first appointment within one or two days of contact. I meet with patients (remotely) via telephone and video telehealth platforms only, Monday through Friday from 7AM to 4 PM. I accept BXBS, Anthem, First Health, among other health plans, and will help with out-of-network needs.

Through my own lived experience, I can deeply resonate with the realities my Millennial and Gen Z clients face. Dating, social media, politics, finances, and demands from school or work can be so daunting. My main priority as a therapist is to create a non-judgmental, engaging, and approachable environment where you feel empowered to navigate these challenges together. Just having one of those days where you need to vent about your mom, partner, or roommate? There’s plenty of space for that too. While I pull from many approaches in my work, I especially enjoy utilizing skills-based therapies like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). These can address concerns like anxiety, stress, interpersonal conflict, sleep, and more. My goal is that you leave each and every session feeling more ready to take on what life is throwing your way. If you’re looking to gain control amidst our out-of-control world, I’d love to connect with you. Please don’t hesitate in reaching out for a free 15-minute consultation.
Chi is all about helping you feel more present in your life. With a fusion of cognitive-behavioral therapy, talk therapy, and Eastern philosophies, Chi brings a fresh perspective to help you. Imagine feeling more present, less stressed, and in tune with your mind, body, and spirit. That's Chi's mission – to empower you to thrive holistically. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression or just need someone to talk to, Chi is your ally, dedicated to co-creating positive changes that resonate with you. A typical session begins with a brief check-in; we then proceed to engage in mindfulness or somatic-centered exercises designed to enhance coping skills. Toward the end of the session, we integrate these skills, empowering you to overcome distress and feel more present in your daily life. My journey started unexpectedly one day by chance or fate when I stumbled upon a book on Eastern philosophy and mindfulness while browsing through a thrift store. It was a serendipitous moment that introduced me to mindfulness and its potential to improve well-being. Intrigued by what I read, I found myself drawn into the practice of mindfulness. This newfound passion eventually inspired me to pursue a master's degree in counseling, setting me on the path I'm on today. I strive to create an open and safe environment for collaboration and exploration with my clients. My approach is anti-oppressive and I celebrate each individual's expression of identity and cultural differences.
