Feeling overwhelmed, behind, anxious, unsure, or like you’re constantly juggling too much? College can bring intense pressure to perform, stay productive, and have a plan—often while managing relationships, family expectations, finances, and questions about who you’re becoming. Even when things are going well academically or socially, many students carry a quiet sense of stress, self-doubt, or disconnection that’s hard to put into words. College is often referred to as the “best years of your life,” yet it’s also a time of major transition and identity formation. You may be making important decisions about your future while still figuring out what you value, what you want, and how to trust yourself. It’s common to feel stuck, anxious, or alone during this period—especially when it seems like everyone else is more confident or has things figured out. How We’ll Work Together I pay close attention to the tension many young adults feel between the part of them seeking stability and the part longing for meaning. It’s common to feel torn between wanting security—a solid job, steady relationships, a clear plan—and wanting a life that feels authentic, purposeful, and alive. In our work, we’ll explore this inner conflict with curiosity rather than judgment and find a way forward that integrates both of these core desires. Many young adults also carry a quiet sense of “I should be further along by now,” shaped by family expectations, social comparison, and cultural pressure. Together, we’ll slow down these narratives and build a relationship to yourself that’s based on honesty, compassion, and your actual needs—not someone else’s timeline. We’ll explore patterns in your relationships, clarify your values, likes, and dislikes, and build skills that help you move through the world with more confidence and ease. Therapy becomes a place to practice new ways of relating: setting boundaries, being more authentic, understanding your emotional patterns, and building healthier relationships. We’ll look at where your values, instincts, and longings are trying to guide you, and how to make choices that align with who you’re becoming.

Welcome! I specialize in working with anxiety, relationship concerns, and eating/body image issues. College can be a whirlwind of new experiences, freedoms, and responsibilities. Add to that the current state of the world, and things can easily feel heavy. It's common that in the overwhelm of managing it all, anxiety around life, relationships, and food becomes a way to cope. If you've been struggling, you don't have to carry the weight of it alone-- finding a therapist you like and trust can change everything. I am trained in somatic therapy, which means we include body awareness as a way to get beneath the conscious mind and anxious thoughts that play on repeat. This helps to get in touch with what's really going on and find sustainable relief. Clients often say that somatic therapy promotes deeper change than other types of therapy they've tried before. I know it can take a lot of energy to start with a new therapist. I'm proud of you for caring for yourself by taking these steps. Reach out for a free 30-minute call so we can get to know each other and see if it's a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!

You deserve a therapist who understands your life in all its complexity. My clients are individuals and couples working through anxiety, depression, grief, identity questions, and strain in their relationships. Many have struggled to find a therapist who can help them feel comfortable exploring more challenging parts of their lives. A lot of my work is with men who learned early that self-reliance was supposed to be enough. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients and with people exploring nonmonogamy and kink. I want that to be a place of affirmation, not something you have to explain or defend. My approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems. I'm a Certified IFS therapist and have served as a teaching assistant for the IFS Institute. IFS meets the parts of you that feel stuck with curiosity instead of judgment. I also draw on CBT, psychodynamic, and relational work. Before this, I spent a decade in business, government, and nonprofits. That background gives me a feel for the real-world pressures people carry into the room. Reaching out is often the hardest part. Whether you're feeling stuck or just ready to understand yourself better, I'd be glad to talk. I see clients virtually across New York, New Jersey, and Colorado, and I offer a free 15-minute consultation.

I specialize in women's mental health (child-free by choice, career advancement & difficulties, relational dynamics, high-power positions, personal growth focus), and LGBTQ+, transgender, and non-binary focused care, including surgery support letters. I help clients make sense of their lives through connecting with their own emotional experiences. I recognize the influence that injustice, oppression and family upbringing can have. I work to frame the emotional struggles in terms of what they are - powerful survival mechanisms that served you well in the past, yet need to be revisited to further grow. Many clients enter therapy feeling vulnerable. Through working on empowerment, from a feminist and queer theory lens, I help the client learn that they are in charge of their lives outside of therapy. It is my hope that through therapy, I am able to assist my clients in living a more congruent, fulfilling, and meaningful life. I am a PSYPACT provider.

As a Board-Certified Neurofeedback Practitioner and Clinical Psychologist, I believe everyone holds the strength to grow and heal, even when life feels overwhelming. Whatever you're facing, you don't have to go through it alone. Therapy doesn't have to feel clinical or one sided. I offer a genuine authentic connection. I've been practicing for over ten years and specialize in counseling siblings, twins, and their loved one's ages 12 and up who need real world guidance around complex twin, sibling, and relationship issues. In our first sessions, we'll create a safe, supportive space to explore your concerns and goals. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan to support your growth, emotional well-being, and lasting change. I use a solution focused and goal-oriented approach to help clients manage trauma, anxiety, and emotional challenges. I teach you skills to overcome anxiety, depression, ADHD, lack of self-love, relationship or parenting struggles. My success lies in years of personal and professional experiences helping people just like you. I offer warm, judgement free, evidence-based care tailored to you and your needs. My approach blends person-centered therapy, mindfulness, dialectical, cognitive, and attached-based techniques. College can be intense — full of pressure, transitions, and big questions about who you are and where you’re headed. I offer a calm, compassionate space to slow things down and be with what’s coming up, just as you are, without rushing or fixing. My work is informed by Internal Family Systems (parts work) and mind-body awareness, and is centered on curiosity, presence, and working together. I offer a 15-minute consult as a brief opportunity to connect and ask questions about working together. Students often come to me feeling overwhelmed, self-critical, anxious, or unsure — sometimes carrying stress, family dynamics, perfectionism, or past experiences that still affect them. In our work together, we move gently and at a pace that feels supportive and respectful, paying attention to your inner experience, including how things show up in the body. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on or have the right words — we listen together beneath the pressure, creating room for insight, relief, and meaningful change to unfold over time. I have over 10 years of experience supporting people through this kind of inner work. I see therapy as a place where you can feel accompanied as you get to know yourself more deeply and find your own sense of clarity and direction.

Psychiatrist

Dallas, TX

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. For me, being a physician is more than a profession—it is a vocation to help indviduals flourish. My practice is devoted to students and young adults seeking thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care that extends beyond symptom relief. I provide comprehensive evaluations that consider medical, nutritional, lifestyle, and psychological factors—including laboratory testing when clinically appropriate—to identify the contributors to emotional and cognitive health. I also specialize in evidence-based de-prescribing for patients who wish to reduce or discontinue psychiatric medications for anxiety, attention difficulties, or substance use disorders. My approach is guided by precision, humility, and restraint: using the least intensive intervention necessary while drawing upon the full breadth of evidence-based medicine. Depending on each patient's needs and goals, I integrate psychotherapy, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, exercise, targeted supplementation, and, when appropriate, carefully selected medications into a personalized treatment plan. In addition to my clinical work, I have presented internationally on psychiatric deprescribing and medical ethics. My work has been recognized with awards from the American Psychiatric Association, the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions, the American Psychoanalytic Association, and other leading professional organizations. I am the Founder & Medical Director of Verigrate Health. I am licensed to serve patients in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Lousiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin.

Feeling lost, overwhelmed, or like something's just not quite right? You're not alone. Life's journey is rarely smooth; we all experience setbacks, heartbreak, and moments where we feel fractured. At Kintsugi Systems Counseling, we offer a unique and compassionate approach to healing, drawing on the wisdom of Kintsugi, IFS, and Stoicism. Imagine a therapy that doesn't focus on fixing what's broken, but celebrates the beauty of your scars, transforming your challenges into strengths. We believe in your inherent resilience and capacity for growth. Our skilled counselors will walk alongside you, helping you understand and harmonize the different parts of yourself, navigate life's difficulties with greater ease, and discover the gold within your own unique story. My Background and Approach My approach to mental health is holistic and integrative, drawing upon a multi-dimensional understanding of the mind-body connection. I recognize that trauma and past experiences are deeply embedded in both our physical and emotional selves; the body, indeed, "keeps the score." Therefore, my therapeutic work focuses on fostering a harmonious relationship between mind and body, equipping you with the tools to cultivate self-awareness and manage internal dialogue effectively. This process involves not only addressing past hurts but also embracing your unique strengths and vulnerabilities, fostering radical self-acceptance as a cornerstone of healing and personal growth. Finally, I believe in the power of self-compassion and nurturing, helping you develop the capacity for self-care and meet your needs with greater understanding and empathy. My goal is to empower you to shed limiting patterns, embrace your authentic self, and live a more vibrant and fulfilling life.
