Whether you're experiencing overwhelming stress, substance abuse, relationship problems, a struggle to overcome an experience in the past, being 'stuck' and your own resources aren't enough, having support is essential. I want get to know you and your world, your understanding of life, your language. To find creative ways to deal with the stresses and problems that life throws our way. I want to walk alongside you while you discover authenticity, meaning, purpose and joy in your life. Every person has their own story and needs space to work through the stuff of life, wherever you are in your journey, I find it a high honor to get to explore who you are and who you want to be.

My approach to mental health counseling and high performance psychology does not focus simply on getting rid of challenges and difficulty, but rather aspires to honor what is good and right about you, and what makes each day worth living according to your beliefs, identities, values, and enriching relationships. Ultimately, I hope to help students like you move towards empowering the identities and values most important to you, building enriching relationships, and thriving in your chosen passions. I offer in person services in Lawrence, KS, and telehealth services across 42 states (https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap). I have extensive experience and passion working with undergraduate and graduate students, including student-athletes, and students who identify as autistic and/or have been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. My aim is to provide a space that invites exploration of challenging yet vital places of growth in the service of what is most important to you in your life and performance space. In particular, I love supporting students' resilience to shame ("not enoughness"), self-criticism, pressure to be perfect, social and performance anxiety, body image concerns, grief and loss, panic, and trauma. At my core, I am inspired by feminist and multicultural approaches to healing that seek to interrupt systems of oppression that impact you. From that core, I use trauma-informed, evidence-based methods like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and self-compassion to support you in taking action towards what matters even in the presence of challenge. Finding a good fit is so vital to your counseling or sport psychology wants, and can be such an emotionally taxing journey. After an initial meeting, if you don't feel there is a great fit between us, I will work hard to connect you to people who may be a better fit for you. Let's make this process as stress-free and successful for your needs as we can.

A Stoa Therapy provider. For most families, finding a qualified speech-language pathologist means long waitlists, limited local options, and clinics that don't take their insurance. For adults navigating a voice disorder or recovering from a stroke, the barriers are just as real. We built Stoa Therapy to solve that. By delivering care over telehealth and working directly with insurance, we connect patients across Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, and Louisiana with SLPs who have specialized training in exactly what they need. The result is care that's easier to start, easier to sustain, and genuinely effective. Get matched, visit: https://stoa-therapy.com/

As a mental health professional backed by five years of social work experience in trauma-heavy fields, I understand the complexity of how harm affects the mind and body. Now, through compassion and collaboration, I am committed to helping adolescents and adults face systemic and interpersonal challenges by utilizing a holistic approach to mental health care. Guided by a belief in dignity, I practice cultural humility, which helps me be respectful and open to other worldviews and to patients with experiences vastly different from mine. I look forward to meeting you where you are and seeing how we can make your reality work best for you. My focus is on trauma-informed care, a psychospiritual framework, and meaning-making in people's lives. You'll notice I often ask what brings you joy, incorporating that into our work together while holding space to recognize where there is dissonance in your life, how two or more things can be true at once, and what that means for your experience and relationships. I value facing fear with compassion and patience, holding immense respect for people courageous enough to ask for help, along with a belief that it is okay not to be okay. Throughout our time together, you can expect a calm, collaborative, and empowering environment tailored to your unique goals. Using a strengths-based perspective, and knowing that you are the expert on your own experience, I help you recognize what you have accomplished, even in the toughest of your struggles, and how those strengths can continue to grow. My path to becoming a therapist was unexpected: my original plan was to become a member of the clergy, and I have honored spirituality through work in interfaith ministry. Through social work, I discovered I enjoy helping people heal and grow more than leading them, which is what ultimately drew me away from that path. It started by working with people experiencing homelessness and then in residential care for students with behavioral disabilities before being drawn back to school to pursue therapy. My diversity in my professional career has led to a deep commitment to providing care that honors the whole person and is judgment-free in each session. I enjoy hiking, swimming, and biking in nature; mountains and rivers speak to my soul. I appreciate art, but know nothing about it – I just like to look. One of my more unique hobbies is seeking out spiritually diverse experiences, and I am also one of those people obsessed with the color purple.
Christine Jibilian - Ellie Mental Health, Fort Collins
Hi, I'm Christine! I primarily work with students in Fort Collins and the Northern Colorado area. I come alongside students who are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, relationships, identity, academic or life transitions, and the everyday pressures of being a young adult. I also support students struggling with self-esteem and body image. You may look like you’re doing fine on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. You may be questioning yourself, overthinking your decisions, struggling to understand what you’re feeling, or simply wishing you had someone you could talk to openly. In therapy, I offer a supportive space to process what you’re going through, better understand yourself and your patterns, and work toward meaningful change.
Transformative Therapy & Coaching
Transformative Therapy & Coaching is a group practice in Colorado Springs offering neurodivergent-affirming therapy for teens, college students, and young adults. We specialize in ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and the big transitions that come with college and early adulthood. Our clinicians draw on IFS, DBT, CBT, EMDR, and Brainspotting to work with how each student's brain actually works. We offer telehealth anywhere in Colorado with plenty of evening appointments, so therapy fits around class and work. Weekly and ongoing sessions are available for students who need more support than short-term care provides. We accept most Colorado insurance, including Anthem/Blue Cross, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, and traditional Colorado Medicaid, and provide superbills for out-of-network plans. Students can book a free 15-minute consult online.

You might feel stuck in habits you hate, ashamed of what no one sees, or lost in a relationship that once felt close. Maybe you’re battling thoughts that won’t quiet down or patterns that keep pulling you back. Whether it’s struggles with pornography, OCD, or a relationship full of tension, you’re not broken—and you don’t have to face it alone. I help individuals and couples heal shame, rebuild trust, and create intimacy that lasts. Together, we’ll build communication patterns where even conflict becomes a pathway to closeness, growth, and deep emotional connection.

When you’re in need of compassionate mental health care, you deserve genuine openness from a therapist who strives to be your advocate at all times. I look forward to being that advocate for you, learning more about who you are as an individual while exploring the ways we can achieve your collaborative goals together. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than a decade of experience, I help adults navigate challenges posed by depressive and anxiety disorders as well as assist with processing and treating trauma and grief that individuals have experienced throughout their lives. My goal is to make in-depth inquiries and connections that get to the root of your struggles and build the skills needed to overcome any obstacle. I'm passionate about helping redefine the past and instilling hope for greater mental wellness. That’s why my method is centered around openness and grounded in the idea that you are not broken and needing to be "fixed." Instead, we use your life experiences to heal and explore the person you would like to be. In our time together, you can expect a kind, casual, and inquisitive environment when exploring your symptoms and history. I operate with a person-centered, Rogerian approach, using the concept of "unconditional positive regard" and a conversational style, so you feel understood in a non-judgmental way and at ease when discussing difficult history. I have served the Denver community as a psychiatric nurse practitioner based in mental health for the majority of my career. During this time, I had the honor of treating a wide number of diagnoses and severities of symptoms across ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic hardships. These experiences taught me just how nuanced mental health care truly is, allowing me to see a person not as "one diagnosis," but to take into account their entire history, relationship dynamics, and values to best tailor treatment, leading to greater well-being. When I’m not in my therapist role, I am a hobbyist woodworker and woodturner. I enjoy building and tinkering with models, as well as other creative outlets like cooking and baking sourdough bread.

Rachel Sailer
Hi, I’m Rachel, but you can call me Ray! I am primarily a relationship therapist who works with college students, graduate students, and young adults in their 20s and 30s who are navigating relationships, anxiety, OCD, friendships, and all of the uncertainty that can come with figuring out adulthood. Maybe you’re doing well on paper, but internally you’re overthinking everything. You might replay conversations, reread texts, worry that someone is upset with you, need reassurance that your relationship is okay, or wonder if you’re “too much.” Or maybe you’re on the other side. You care deeply about people but pull away when relationships get too close, shut down during conflict, struggle to ask for help, or worry that being in a relationship means losing your independence. These are some of the relationship and attachment patterns I specialize in helping young adults understand. I also work with OCD and relationship OCD (ROCD), including the endless “what if?” questions that can make it difficult to trust yourself. You might find yourself analyzing whether you chose the right relationship, checking how you feel, looking for certainty, comparing, researching, replaying situations, or repeatedly asking other people what they think. And relationships aren’t just romantic. Friendships can be some of the most important and sometimes most painful relationships during college and young adulthood. Therapy can be a place to talk about friendship breakups, feeling left out, outgrowing friendships, struggling to find your people, people-pleasing, boundaries, loneliness, or wondering where you stand with someone. College and young adulthood can also bring questions about identity, career, family relationships, moving away from home, dating, breakups, changing friendships, perfectionism, and what you actually want your life to look like. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Figuring some of it out can be part of the work. My approach is relational, attachment-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I integrate attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches, neuroscience, and ERP-informed work for OCD. Rather than only focusing on symptoms, I want to help you understand where your patterns came from, what they may be trying to protect you from, and whether they are still working for you today. My goal is to help you build relationships where you can care deeply about other people without losing yourself, tolerate uncertainty without needing to solve everything immediately, communicate what you need, set boundaries, and feel more secure in who you are. In addition to individual therapy, I work with dating and committed couples, particularly couples navigating attachment patterns and the pursuer-withdrawer cycle. I also offer non-religious premarital therapy for couples who want to intentionally prepare for marriage and have conversations about communication, family, finances, intimacy, values, and their future together. I offer in-person therapy in the Denver and Lakewood area and virtual therapy throughout Colorado.
Joanna A Lester, MA, LPC
Hi, I’m Joanna Lester—founder of First Circle Therapy, a Colorado-based virtual practice. I specialize in working with college and grad students who are thoughtful, creative, and sensitive—but overwhelmed by the pressure to keep it all together. If you're juggling deadlines, relationships, family expectations, and big questions about who you're becoming, you might feel anxious, unmotivated, burned out, or just not yourself. You’re not alone—and therapy can be a space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what really matters to you. Our work can help you move through cycles of self-doubt, people-pleasing, or perfectionism and into a more grounded, self-led life. Whether you're processing trauma, navigating identity shifts, or learning to set healthier boundaries, I offer space to explore your inner world with clarity and care. In our sessions, we’ll use nervous system tools (to help your body shift out of fight-or-flight and feel more at ease) and parts work (to help the different sides of you—like the achiever, avoider, or inner critic—work together instead of against each other). You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. I offer free consultations to see if we’re a fit, and I accept several major insurance plans to make therapy more accessible. Feel free to reach out—no pressure.
Keshet Counseling
I founded Keshet Counseling to support individuals who often feel overlooked or misunderstood in traditional therapy spaces. My work is especially meaningful to those navigating the complexities of chronic illness, such as Lyme Disease, Mold Toxicity, MCAS, and other invisible disabilities, as well as those facing antisemitism or discrimination for not aligning with political or institutional expectations. I also work closely with teens and adults dealing with antisemitism, narcissistic abuse, multicultural identity issues, codependency, love addiction, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. My approach is rooted in body centered somatic psychology using mindfulness. We’ll explore unconscious beliefs and patterns shaping your experience by noticing whats happening for you in this moment. I hold a humanistic view of healing: I believe you are already whole, worthy, and deeply capable of transformation. My role is to help reconnect you to your own inner knowing, and I view our relationship as a collaborative space where your voice and wisdom lead the way. I don’t believe there’s something wrong with you, rather, what happened to you.
Ryan Sheridan
I help individuals enhance their mental health. My approach is based on the premise that nutrition, physical activity, and how we recover are foundational to our well-being. We will optimize your life with thoughtful prescriptions, psychotherapy, nutritional and supplement counseling, and prescriptive exercise.
Kelly Ellis
I provide telehealth/video sessions in California, Colorado, and Utah. I have a special interest in working with college students and young adults. As an LCSW I have provided counseling and psychotherapy to adults for over 35 years. I am certified in treating complex trauma and my approach includes teaching coping tools, insight development, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. I have extensive experience helping young adults, including healing from trauma, anxiety, stress management, and chronic & acute health conditions.
Leah K Barison, LPCC
My approach relies on a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship where we can safely engage in healing work. We will navigate the pains and challenges of today, while fostering an understanding of how the past has played a role - all while inclining toward a meaningful future. I will provide tools for immediate relief as needed to support this process. I often work with folks who are highly sensitive, feel different or misunderstood, have overwhelming emotions, struggle with relationships, have low self-esteem, are queer or questioning, or are seeking to develop identity, purpose, and meaning in life. I would love to talk to you more about how I work, hear about your goals for therapy, and answer any questions you might have. I look forward to hearing from you!
