My practice begins with a kind, compassionate and safe introduction to the therapy process. We will explore what you want in your life and how to get there. Together we will follow your questions, concerns and goals, so you can discover new options. These are some of the questions we can explore. How can I make decisions that lead to a clear purpose? Why do I feel depressed? What is all this anxiety about? What can I do to feel better now? Drawing on eastern and western psychology, we will work together to develop the tools and inner resources to achieve your life goals including learning self compassion, and developing awareness of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors - through traditional talk therapy, mindfulness, creating art, and journaling. Please see my psychology today profile for more information and a complete list of insurance I accept.

I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ teens and adults navigating gender, sexuality, relationships, identity, and the emotional weight that can come with living authentically. My approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed. I pay close attention to what's unfolding between us in the moment, while also helping you build practical tools for regulation, self-trust, and resilience. Our work might include somatic (body-based) practices, mindfulness, inner child and parts work, or deeper exploration of attachment, identity, and the systems we move through. I honor the realities of our sociopolitical climate and the ways it shapes queer and trans lives, and I aim to hold space that’s affirming, collaborative, and deeply respectful of your truth. Whether you're coming out, healing from trauma, or just trying to make sense of who you are and what you need, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You don’t have to do it alone. My work rests on a profound respect for the human capacity to change as well as a deep appreciation of the impact of emotional pain on the process of living. This perspective emerged from my 25+ years in practice, my formal training, my work at psychiatric hospitals and other facilities, my experience as a supervisor and a teacher, and a life lived as a member of the human species. Although my approach depends on the needs of each individual, I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the foundation for psychotherapy and a window into the client's other relationships, both historical and contemporary. I adopt a collaborative approach to create a safe space in which there is respect for the ways in which individuals have learned to cope with traumatic and painful experiences. Rather than pathologize these currently anachronistic survival strategies, I help clients understand them as creative attempts to cope that may have outlived their usefulness. believe that choosing the right therapist is more than just a matter of credentials and experience. I believe it involves finding someone with whom you have the right "fit." For this reason, I offer initial appointments that are free of charge if you decide not to work with me. I welcome your inquiries.

Are you a woman working through early recovery and building toward a thriving life, or a hospice patient or family member searching for meaning and peace at the end of life? As a Master of Social Work student, these are the experiences I've spent the last few years navigating with patients. Compassion, honesty, and kindness are central to my approach, and I am dedicated to offering all of these to strengthen our work together. My experience with addiction, grief, end-of-life care, and meditation has helped me develop a well-rounded approach that prioritizes acceptance, patience, and mindfulness. Helping women meet loss, fear, and pain, while also holding deep reverence for the beauty in their lives, is something I'm passionate about. Working together, you can expect a calm, accepting environment that welcomes all parts of you. I honor you as the expert of your life, and look forward to walking alongside you on your unique journey. The loss of my mother in 2023 marked the beginning of my path to social work. Following in her footsteps, I began working with women in early recovery from addiction, and eventually interned with a hospice agency through my MSW program. These experiences deepened both my admiration for her and my understanding of addiction, death, grief, and the healing process. My own experiences with pain and healing, both personally and professionally, allow me to center compassion in each session with you. Art is one of my greatest loves. I find joy in creative expression, often working with pen, watercolor, and acrylic paint. Staying active brings me just as much joy, and I love to trail run, hike, and meditate. Cats have my whole heart, and I'm brand new to snowboarding.

I was raised in a commune-style farm setting in rural Pennsylvania, and earned my BA from Middlebury College and then my MA in counseling psychology from Lesley College. I am currently pursuing her certificate in Modern Psychoanalysis at the Academy for Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis in Livingston, NJ. I am a mother of three and a longtime practitioner of yoga, meditation, and Jin Shin Jyutsu (Japanese acupressure). These practices inform my interest in the well-being of the whole person. I provide a safe and comfortable space where you can explore the parts of your life that you value and also the parts you may want to change. My approach is to cultivate a sense of curiosity and kindness while supporting you in saying whatever is on your mind. As we put our thoughts and feelings into words, we tend to grow more comfortable in ourselves, even in the midst of discomfort. We may find ourselves in more positive relationships at home, at school, and at work. We may find more clarity about how we want to live our lives. Whether in person or online, I see the therapeutic process as a catalyst for reflection, exploration, self-understanding, and personal growth. Together, we will work to understand the richness of who you are and resolve whatever is getting in the way of achieving your personal and professional goals.

I spent much of my adult life working in Emergency Medicine as a Paramedic before going to the Physician Assistant program at Loma Linda University in Southern California. After graduating from there in 2018, I spent the past five years working in addiction medicine in a residential treatment program in Boulder, Colorado. Working in addiction medicine, I commonly assisted adult patients, of all ages, dealing with anxiety, depression, cravings, withdrawal symptoms and sleep challenges. Patients would often come to me wanting to reduce their amount of medications to just what was helpful and necessary and I would take a lot of pride in helping them achieve that goal. Genetic testing provides a helpful tool to initially choose, change or adjust a dose of a particular medication. I believe that it is important to meet an individual where they are in the healing process and to address the whole person rather than just the presenting problem or symptom. To address the “whole person” requires getting a detailed history and a partnership between patient and provider. Establishing such a partnership gives me great joy.

Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or ready for meaningful change? Are you looking for more than just symptom management to understand yourself more deeply, develop healthier patterns, and create a life that feels more aligned and authentic? As a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), I help you explore your experiences with compassion, curiosity, and practical tools. My specialties include navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and questions around identity and purpose. Every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. As your therapist, I strive to be a compassionate and collaborative partner in your healing process and look forward to supporting you as you develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and connection with yourself. I believe therapy is a space where you should feel seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change at your own pace. Our work together is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity to achieve just that, integrating evidence-based approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, cognitive-based interventions, and person-centered therapy to help you better understand yourself, heal from past experiences, and build a stronger relationship with your thoughts, emotions, and inner world. Therapy is tailored to your unique needs, values, and goals, using this same collaborative and compassionate style throughout our work together. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you reconnect with your own strengths and wisdom. My path to becoming a therapist grew from my own deep interest in human healing, self-discovery, and the ways people transform through meaningful support and connection. A background in Mindfulness, meditation, and contemplative practices deepened my appreciation for the complexity of the human experience and the importance of approaching each person with compassion and curiosity. I bring this same warmth, authenticity, and a holistic perspective to each session now while honoring each patient's unique story and journey. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, traveling, practicing yoga and meditation, reading, and exploring creative and spiritual practices. I also love learning about different cultures, spending time with loved ones, and finding moments of curiosity and wonder in everyday life.
