Hi, My name is Heather and I have been working as an individual and family therapist for over 10 years. Through my professional experiences, I have found a love for working with younger adult clients and currently work with many undergraduate and graduate college student. I enjoy my work in helping to identify what isn't working for clients in their individual lives or in their relationships and finding alternative ways of thinking and responding that support mental wellness. My experience is is mostly in the areas of symptoms commonly experienced by those struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD. I work mainly with cognitive models of therapy and am trained in EMDR, and have experience with other theories of psychology that I interweave into my practice, depending on what clients needs are and what they respond positively to. Ultimately I think the connection between therapist and client is the most important part of the therapeutic relationship and I truly enjoy getting to know my clients on a personal level through the clinical work we engage in. I'd appreciate your consideration in your searches for a therapist to work with.

I work with creatives, academics, professionals, caregivers and helpers who are used to doing it alone — but don’t want to anymore. I specialize in complex grief, trauma and high-functioning depression in thoughtful, driven adults. My work integrates EMDR, somatic and trauma-informed therapy to help experiences settle in the nervous system — not just make sense intellectually. Together, we focus on practical tools to regulate intense emotions, build resilience and reduce the quiet weight you’ve been carrying. We move at a pace that honors your history without rushing the process. If you’re ready to feel more grounded, less reactive and more connected to your to your own life, please reach out.

I am a sex-positive, polyamory-affirming, and kink-informed therapist. I draw from an eclectic knowledge base that includes queer theory, disability justice, anti-racism, intersectionality, and fat liberation. My clinical perspective is influenced by attachment theory, humanistic theory, and systems theory. I have been trained in many evidence-based modalities, such as ACT, CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and others. I do not believe that anyone can truly provide therapy from an objective lens and welcome your questions about how my training and lived experience inform the way we interact. I approach therapy from a relational, strengths-based, and person-centered lens. This means I will tailor our therapeutic work to your specific goals and strengths, allowing you to lead as the expert of your own experiences. I do not incorporate any particular structure into sessions and allow you to guide us to what feels relevant to you in the moment. My clients meet with me at all types of frequencies from twice weekly to once a month. This depends on the intensity of your mental health challenges, my current openings, and your processing style.

If you are looking to be fixed, you have come to the wrong place. You are a human being longing to be seen and heard, not a problem to be solved. As a queer, Asian (Filipinx) immigrant, I understand the importance of community, advocacy, and finding your voice. Together, we can work to bring awareness to the harmful messages we have come to internalize and the systems of oppression that inform the ways in which we take up space. If you are seeking justice & compassion for inner child you, as well as meaning and belonging for present you - I eagerly invite and welcome you in. I specialize in working with QTBIPOC+ college students, adults, and couples on issues of Intersectionality, Identity, Intergenerational Trauma, Social Justice, Interpersonal Skills, and Self-Compassion Work, among others. Human connection is everything - let's make room for your lived experiences, hopes, and dreams; your mere existence is an act of rebellion When working with me, I want you to feel like you have complete ownership of your personal narrative. I believe that there is so much power to be found within the therapeutic relationship. When there is mutual trust, respect, and authenticity in the room, we can start to effect healing. I see you for all that you are, and all that you still hope to be.

Mornings focus on group-based cognitive behavioral therapy, leveraging the outdoors as often as possible. Daily hikes along our “12 Step” Trail are normal, while afternoons are set aside for educational offerings. Individually, clients meet weekly with a primary therapist and a case manager. Additional services are available as well, such as specialty groups for 12 Step, Trauma, and Co-Occurring Disorders. Clients diagnosed with mental health disorders, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, and other trauma-related responses, meet with appropriate staff. A lot of people say they knew at a young age they would be a therapist, but that wasn’t me. I grew up in a military family and thought I would continue that tradition and be a stay-at-home mom. Instead, I found myself in a journalism career and a marriage I didn’t like. Starting over after 30, I chose to return to school and pursue a degree in social work. Since then, I’ve worked with the military, in inpatient facilities, and in outpatient care. I love working with women who find themselves “outside the box” when it comes to societal expectations (child-free/childless, unmarried, or just a-plain-ol’ rebel). I love to focus on resiliency, self-improvement/self-esteem, personal growth, and even a bit of spirituality (if that's your thing). I'm a very laid-back, nontraditional therapist. I believe you are the expert in your own life and, sometimes, we just need some guidance or permission to do the things we know we need to do. I don't assign homework cause, frankly, I wouldn't do it if I were in your shoes, but I will suggest some tasks or actions that may be something to focus on between sessions. I also expect clients to show up with a discussion topic or something to start us off with; again, the time is yours to use as you feel best. I have very eclectic interests. Two things that are very important to me are spirituality and non-traditional relationships. I feel both have their own challenges and prejudices to overcome. I'm always looking for ways to include and incorporate my client's spiritual beliefs (if they choose to share) into sessions and help them build a strong foundation. Nontraditional relationships (including kink dynamics) can be a challenge to bring to therapy as there's often a perceived level of judgment—not here! I celebrate however your relationship looks and work to help you create the most nurturing and healthy relationship however that looks. One of my core values is curiosity, so I love it when I get to learn a little something from my clients. Having grown up in a military family that moved every three years like clockwork, learning about people and cultures has been a huge part of my life. I encourage my clients to practice showing and embodying their authenticity with me so they may go out into the world more confidently. I believe we all have something beautiful to share and learn from each other and I encourage those I work with to explore that on a deeper level.

“Hey there, I’m Brandon! I conceptualize therapy not as a static moment in time, but as an active, winding journey. I utilize Narrative and Somatic Therapies to challenge problematic stories we tell ourselves and rewrite our roles in them, learning how to live presently and understand emotion, especially as it exists within our bodies. Additionally, I specialize in trauma work with Brainspotting and Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to heal and integrate adverse experiences. My joy has been in working with multi-racial/cultural clients, the LGBT+ community, and other adults dealing with life transition! The individual who usually finds the most growth with me is someone who is ready to enact positive, healthy change in their life and build/foster beneficial relationships. My client can rely on me to challenge thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve, but especially to support, encourage, and be a safe place to land!”

Hi! If you're carrying a story that feels too heavy, too painful, or perhaps too fragmented to tell, I offer a supportive space to help you reclaim the parts of your story that have been buried, silenced, or distorted by trauma. Together, we will work to gently untangle your story, reconnect with your inner strength, and move toward lasting relief and empowerment. You deserve to feel safe, grounded, and whole. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and respectful of your pace. Healing isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about honoring the parts of you that adapted to survive and creating space for something new. Sometimes the first step in healing is telling your story. As a fellow artistic, compassionate human, I am here to hear your story and assist you in continuing along your journey in this life.

You’re functional on the outside but feel stuck on the inside, repeating the same patterns in anxiety, relationships, or habits you can’t seem to change. You’re sick of surface-level advice and want therapy that gets to the root of what’s driving things. As a psychodynamic therapist, I offer a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and explore the patterns shaping your life. I believe that you are the expert on your own experience. My role is to listen carefully, offer challenges when helpful, & support you in changing what isn't working.
